this is a plein air painting I did this summer at the top of Kaaterskill Falls in the Catskill Mts. Below is the prelim sketch I did in my book. I fell in love with the Catskill mountains this summer. It was the first time that I visited all the famous locations of the historic Hudson River School painters.
