This is the last road image I'll post for awhile. I believe it might have been this scene that made me want to be a painter, though I didn't know it at the time. This scene lies between my home and my grandmother's, and we would drive it often and it has a very antiquated, old-America feel to the scene with the limestone wall and the old farm and a railroad line up on the hill. It was the first time I was absolutely struck by a landscape. I'm still struck. Old Highway 77--Matfield Green"16 x 20 oil on canvas
