"Treasured Home" by Kyle Wood

"Treasured Home" - 10" x 8" Oil on Canvas

This past weekend, I got a chance to go out and do some plein-air painting around my hometown of Terrell. Saturday, March 19th, was the start of the annual Paint Historic Terrell Paint-Out, hosted by NETFAA. This event attracts many local artists and regional artists to come out and paint and draw some of the beautiful historical homes and buildings that are part of our city heritage. The event last all week and will conclude with an artists reception on, Saturday, March 26th at the Terrell Heritage Museum - 207 North Frances Street. All the artwork will also judged and cash prizes will be given for First Place, Second Place, Third Place, and Honorable Mention. The event has become well receptive by our local citizens and it is NETFAA's goal to continue making this an annual event.
