KMD2668 Lady Bug Lady Bug by Kit Hevron Mahoney
What a thrill to see the world thru a macro lens. While photographing in Crested Butte, I explored the world with my new macro lens and had a fun challenge shooting close ups of the lady bugs moving about on the blooms of the Penstemon flowers. It was a trick to catch them as they are in continual motion up and down the stems and flowers followed by ants and bees. They all seemed to get along, so I think they felt there was enough for everyone! Some trivia: the Penstemon is part of the Snapdragon family.
