A Stock of Hollyhocks
30x15 oil on canvas
This was inspired after painting at the Ft. Worth Botanical Gardens. I painted a quick study on site, capturing the colors of the blooming hollyhocks. I used the small study and photos to create this still life. It was painted with a palette knife and lots of colorful paint.
