Shadow Dance..Pastel..Texas Artist..Rae Andrews

Another unframed pastel close focus of eucalyptus leaves.

I am loving this process of overlaying an abstraction of colors over the subject. I do this in my app Sketch Club on my IPad.
It gets me out of the ‘color doldrums’ and can totally surprise the eye..

This one is a pastel on Sennelier La Carte sanded paper..
It measures 14.5” x 19.4” unframed.
$350 plus S/H

Prints of this image are also available through Fine Art America.

Thanks for visiting..

Rae teaches workshops in pastel and watercolor in Europe and America.

Abstract Landscape, "Day is Done", 6x8" Oil Abstract SOLD

It is early evening in the Florida marsh and the sun is just about to disappear.

SOLD

I snapped my photo and high-tailed it out of there before the creepy crawlies came out.

I enjoy a lot of texture in my work and find that abstraction is the perfect media to portray it.

Do you find that your goals in art change as you continue on your artistic journey?

Abstracted Rain 7 x 5 Acrylic Abstracted Urban Landscape

$125.00 + $10.00 S/H

I am working on a series of Daily Paintings that are working concepts of larger works to come. This is the first in the series. I'm moving towards incorporating abstraction complimented by line work and my impressionistic technique to successfully create some exciting new work. Hope you enjoy the process as much as I am!
