"Whispering Night" by Kyle Wood

"Whispering Night" - 16" x 20" Oil on Canvas

For this painting, I chose to paint a night scene, using a limited palette that I learned from a workshop a few years ago. The colors that were used here are: Titanium White mixed with a small amount of Yellow Ochre Pale, Yellow Ochre Pale, Permanent Alizarin Crimson, and Windsor Green (also known as Thalo Green). Using these colors together in different variations of values created a nice, soft, and cool evening along the banks of a creek.

To see more of my work, stop by my booth this Saturday, May 28th at The Clarksville Fine Art Festival in Clarksville, Texas. Clarksville is located northeast of the Dallas / Ft. Worth Metroplex and is east of Paris on State Highway 82. For more information on the festival, please visit www.clarksvilleartfest.com. Weather should be great for the event!
