"Mission San Juan" - 12" x 16" Oil on Canvas

Here is my interpretation of Mission San Juan, one of the five missions along the San Antonio River in San Antonio, Texas. Painting is based on photos that I took, while I was there. I combined my interest in historical architecture with my passion for Texas Wildflowers, especially our State Flower - The Bluebonnet. Yuccas and other types of vegetation were added for interest and variety, which are very common in this region of Texas.
