Early Light, New Contemporary Landscape Painting by Sheri Jones

Early Light

14x11 oil on canvas panel

This landscape was inspired from an area along the bike path in Benbrook, Texas. The painting started from a photo, but soon took on it's on color scheme and design.  I like to use the photos as simply a suggestion and let it develop from there.

Wild Apricots in Bloom, New Contemporary Landscape Painting by Sheri Jones

Wild Apricot in Bloom

12x9 oil on canvas

I found this wild apricot tree when painting a landscape on location. This was my second one of the day and  a delight to paint.  I had to park the easel close to the road, but fortunately there wasn't much traffic. Plein painting can be a dangerous sport.

This is available for purchase.
