Seascape Painting, Impressionist Seascape,Coastal Art, “Celine’s View” by Contemporary Artist Liz Thoresen

I painted this one for Celine, a dear friend who is part of a group of surfers who have had a strong community of sharing surfing and friendship since the 60's. We only get to see them once a year but those weekends are always memorable and a reminder to us all of how important it is to stay connected with old friends.

Contemporary Watercolor Beach Scene, "Late Afternoon," by Amy Whitehouse

Watercolor, approximately 6"x12" $175

So many colors are found in the sand and sky in the late afternoon

Coastal Art, Beach Paintings, Fish, Koi,"Tropical Sanctuary" Florida Impressionism Artist Annie St Martin

The serene setting of a lush tropical island is so inspiring. I am always amazed by the colors of the waters off the coast of Sanibel and Captiva in Southwest Florida. What treasures do you think the tides have washed ashore?

Sunset Seascape Beach Wildlife Bird Oil Painting "Seaside Dining" by Florida Impressionism Artist Annie St Martin

At the shoreline everything is so still and quiet at days end. The only sound is the breaking of the softly rolling waves as they make their journey up to lap at the sandy beach. Even the birds seem to know it's time to settle in, have a snack and quietly watch a truly magnificent sunset.

Original Florida Landscape Coastal Art Oil Panting "Beyond The Bend" by Florida Impressionism Artist Annie St Martin

Beyond The Bend was done en plein air with a palette knife. This path, through a Southwest Florida preserve, offered an assortment of painting opportunities. From a nesting sandhill crane, to soaring osprey, I found myself intrigued with the gravel and shell pathway and the mystery of where it would take me. What do you think is beyond the bend?
