A rugged Southwestern mountain scene with the afternoon glow of a sunset. Done with a palette knife in acrylics on a board .  17 1/2 x 13.   Cut for a special old flat 2 inch, wooden frame that I refinished.  The color scheme is simple with warm Naples Yellow and purples set off against some lovely neutrals.

The late afternoon streak of warm light and the brooding clouds overhead bringing the day to an end is very dramatic small Southwestern landscape  painting. Looks good in a silver frame. Painted in the studio as many of my paintings are done . The tool of the palette knife allows for juicy paint and impressionistic or an abstract rendition.
