Birch Trees, Contemporary Monoprint Paintings in Acrylic by Amy Whitehouse

6" x 6" Monoprint, $65

We've had more of a winter than usual here in Arizona this year.
Just a little over an hour north of Phoenix,
the birch trees are bare, the air is still,
and one can often spot a snowman
left behind to entertain passers-by.

This simple depiction of the birch trees
evokes the feel of winter in Northern Arizona
and elsewhere, I hope.

"INTO THE WOODS" :Landscape Artists International by Sally Fraser

INTO THE WOODS

by Texas Artist Sally Fraser

Acrylic on 36 x 24 canvas

Use a very simple contemporary frame because of all the detail. Many colors poke through, with the use of glazes, metallic paint, etc to give the illusion of a forest of birch trees in winter.
This acrylic landscape has an abstract quality because the details are so diffused.

sale price  $500.  does not include tax and shipping.

Aspen Artwork by Jill Saur

©1990-2012 Aspen Art by Jill Saur, all rights reserved

"Aspen Dance" is one of my new oil paintings (8"x8").  I rendered this
using a palette knife.  I closed my eyes and mused on one of my trips to
Colorado, where the blue azure sky against the dancing white aspen trees
ignite a flame of inspiration.

This piece is for sale by contacting me at www.JillSaur.com.

Estes Park Landscape by Jill Saur

Last year, Tom and I went to Estes Park, Colorado.  It is one of our treasured National Parks that I hope to return to one day.  If you ever get a chance to visit, be sure you spend a day up at Bear Lake!  Tom and I went at least two or three times.  We came away with some incredible photos for me to use for subject matter to paint.  This 11"x14" acrylic painting, "Autumn Inspiration" is inspired by one of my walks up at Bear Lake.  The aspens were just beginning to change.  The brilliant hues of the quaking leaves, against the azure sky, captured my spirit.  I suppose that's why we went back two days later to do some more photo shoots and take in the extraordinary beauty of this magical wonderland.
This  expressive painting is available on my website.  I invite you to become a collector and experience the joy of owning artwork that inspires and uplifts your soul! - Jill

Aspen Tree Painting "Dawn Serenade" by Jill Saur

My painting, "Dawns Serenade", 12"x12" acrylic on canvas, was inspired by a serendipitous trip to Taos, New Mexico. I came home with over a thousand shots to use as inspiration in my studio.

Aspen trees are amongst the oldest living organisms on our planet. A single grove can grow large enough to cover an entire mountain-side. Although each tree stands alone, it is interconnected through a shared root system. I call these trees, "The Giving Trees" because when one tree dies, it grows another tree from its very own root ball.

This painting is sold, but I invite you to visit my website to view my work or perhaps commission me to paint an original just for you.
