"Aspen Dance" is one of my new oil paintings (8"x8").  I rendered this

using a palette knife.  I closed my eyes and mused on one of my trips to 

Colorado, where the blue azure sky against the dancing white aspen trees 

ignite a flame of inspiration.

Aspens in the fall are a site to behold.  This painting was inspired by a trip to Colorado with my wonderful sister.  Aspen trees are amongst the oldest living organisms on the planet and they can grow a new tree from their root ball.  I love the symbolism they carry and the beauty they hold for those walk amongst them.

This painting, "Autumn Green", is an original acrylic on canvas and measures 11"x14".  It has texture in the trees and foliage and has a lovely warm glow when the lights are dimmed.
