Nature can be such an inspiration for so many things especially a painting. The blossoms this spring were so stunning and fragrant. I can see why the bees love them so much. I was trying to capture some of my bees on these flowers but they were to fast for me to catch them in action with my camera. So the painting is a portrait of just the cherry blossoms at their peak.

I have not posted in months!!!! Between commissions, the holidays and just wanting to take a break from my painting life I have let my posting fall by the wayside. I am back now and setting a goal to post once or twice a week. This scene was found while traveling in France quite a few years ago. It has been in my folder of favorite images that I have set aside to paint for quite some time. We were looking for a place to have dinner when I came across this scene as the sun was setting and evening setting in.
