Journal Entry, Texas 2..Watercolor..Texas Artist..Rae Andrews

Just finished this journal entry.. a few years ago I was at the banks of the Pedernales River not far from where I live here in Texas. It’s a great spot to paint.

Lately we have had an enormous amount of rain and flooding, so this area is a good place to stay away from till the water subsides.

I used an old photo for this journal entry.
It’s in my Stillman and birn 8” x 10” Beta series journal.

Thanks for visiting..

Spanish Garden Pathway..Watercolor Landscape..Texas Artist..Rae Andrews

I decided to get back to my roots so to speak and do a few watercolors. This one is the first in a while.
I have missed this medium. As with many artists who paint in all media, sometimes some of them get left in the dust. I have been doing a lot of pastels lately too as you might all know.

I think I am due for a change.
Stay tuned for more new images. For now, anyway..:))

Image size is 8" x 14" unframed.
This painting is $150 plus S/H.

Prints of this image are also available through Fine Art America:

The source of this little painting came from my visit to Paris.  It rained most everyday at some point and, I was delighted every time. I totally love painting rainy urban landscapes!

Element vs Man 6 x 6 Acrylic Urban Landscape by Denver Artist John K. Harrell

$125.00 + $10.00 S/H

This is another loose interpretation of an urban composition in Denver Colorado. Using both the hard edges of the street car and the detail of the figure to off set the looseness of the back ground make for an electric painting.

KMD2883 Lush July by Colorado artist Kit Hevron Mahoney (7x5 original oil landscape, Colorado vista)

As I am getting back to doing the smaller daily paintings I am going through my plethora of photographs from years past. There are so many fun paintings to be done from all the travels I have photographed that it is hard to choose. As spring seems so late this year I am sure I responded to the intense color and beauty of this scene near Gothic outside of Crested Butte during the wildflower season. Sometimes I wonder if anyone who has not seen this scene can believe it is really this colorful, but indeed it is.

7"x5" unframed original oil
$125.00 + $10.00 shipping and handling

Less Taken / Roxborough Park by Maryann Leake

LESS TAKE / ROXBOROUGH PARK oil painting by Maryann Leake Colorado Contemporary Artist 16"x 20" $300.00 Leake@baisley.org Years ago I set my easel up near the bed of my truck and faced my fear of painting outdoors. I said a prayer "Lord I want this title of artist to remain with me. Am I on the right path?" Here comes the funny part. A DOVE sailed in and landed on the tail gate of my truck... helllloo
