Last Light Over the Hills Frayssinet, France..pastel.. Texas Artist..Rae Andrews

Another landscape of the area around Frayssinet in southwest France . This area is dotted with sheep farms, and wonderful pastures.

I just happened to be walking at twilight and saw this heavenly sky, just had to try and do it justice.

I also love this panoramic format, challenging but perfect for this genre.

The substrate is a sanded paper, not sure which one, but it's not Sennelier. Maybe Wallis?

Diving into my stock drawer is a bit of a lucky dip with selecting my papers for pastels. :))

                                              This image is 9" x 25"unframed.

                                                           $500 plus S/H

Prints of this image are also available though Fine Art America:

KM3049 Twilight's Silence by Colorado artist Kit Hevron Mahoney (16x12, oil, landscape, twilight, late day sunset)

My painting life has suddenly gotten busy, the name of the game in the art business. This is another study in simplified landscapes that I painted recently. Playing with simplification in my painting process is an ongoing journey for my artistic curiosity. I can't wait to get back to studying more of my landscape imagery. 16”x 12” original acrylic on stretched canvas, unframed $1300+ $20 shipping and handling See more paintings on my blog Visit my website Daily Painters of Colorado

KM3041 Image of Eternity by Colorado artist Kit Hevron Mahoney ( landscape, 6x24, twilight, sunset, Moab

This painting was done from an fleeting moment captured in Utah just on our way out of Dead Horse Point at days end with my dear friend Pat. I loved the way the last light just lit up a few points on the mesas before disappearing into evening. Such a magical moment to share with a good friend and now as a permanent painting in oil. 6”x 24" original oil unframed on board $975 + $20 shipping and handling See more paintings on my blog Visit my website Daily Painters of Colorado

Oconee Sunset, 8x6 Oil Painting by Carmen Beecher

$89 Click to Purchase
This was pure luck. I saw a good sunset coming on and rushed to the shore of Lake Oconee, Georgia. This heron posed for me so nicely amid the pink and purple water. This particular sunset went through many stages of unrealistic brilliant colors and reflections. I will paint more of it, at risk of it looking fake. I'll just have to tone it down.
