Impressionist Landscape,Mountain Landscape, Trees, Fine Art Oil Painting “The Magic of Stillness” by Colorado Contemporary Fine Artist Jody Ahrens

FRESH OFF THE EASEL

A serene and harmonious place provides the perfect catalyst for an escape from our thoughts. Sit on a soft patch of moss and absorb your surrounding without internal dialog. Hear the birds but do not analyze with internal-words, listen to the water trickling over small rocks without speculation. It’s a common meditation practice called No Mind that refreshes and renews our spirits.

12"x30" Oil on Panel

Colorado Landscape, Western Landscape, Monk "Sacred" by Colorado Artist Nancee Jean Busse

A few years ago, I was in Monument Valley and saw a group of monks experiencing this sacred American place. The image has stayed with me for years. Raven regards Monk; Monk regards you through the lens of a camera, and you all exist in a place which remains unflappably detached from human histrionics. The benign detachment of the landscape of the American Southwest is food for my artist's soul.

24"x36"x1.5" Acrylic on Ampersand/ Available

Impressionist Landscape,Trees, Fine Art Oil Painting “Nature's Eloquence” by Colorado Contemporary Fine Artist Jody Ahrens

FRESH OFF THE EASEL

This unique and colorful piece is headed to the 2021 Colorado Governor’s Show. A textured substrate provides subtle nuances that appear totally by accident and could never be created on purpose. The trick is to be sensitive to them as they develop and let them have their way. It’s called being present in the now.

Noontime Clearing Near the Corner
by Dawn Chandler

"'The Corner' refers to a point in my favorite trail where it edges a long field, and then suddenly takes a sharp corner and cuts through a grove of towering cottonwood trees on its way to the banks of Brush Creek. I camped out there for a few hours this day and wondered if I might see a moose. . . ..'"
